> HAUS DER KUNST
Das Haus der Kunst liegt unmittelbar am Englischen Garten im geographischen Mittelpunkt Münchens zwischen den Vierteln Lehel, Bogenhausen und Schwabing. Neben der attraktiven, zentralen und verkehrsgünstigen Lage, sticht das Haus der Kunst vielen Menschen durch die auffällige, historische Säulenkulisse ins Auge und gehört zu den bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten in München.
Seit einigen Jahren, genauer gesagt seit der Übernahme durch Chris Dercon, behauptet das Haus der Kunst seinen Platz unter den großen internationalen Ausstellungshäusern. Die Bandbreite moderner, zeitgenössischer und klassischer Kunst sowie gewagte Experimente sind beim Besucher als auch bei Verleihern geachtet. Dadurch wurden zuletzt jährlich mehrere hunderttausend Besucher angelockt.

The Haus der Kunst is located right next to the English Garden in the center of Munich inbetween Lehel, Bogenhausen and Schwabing. Aside from the conveniently situated, central location, the striking historic backdrop of pillars in front of the Haus der Kunst catches the eye and is one of the most famous sights in Munich. For several years, more precisely since the takeover by Chris Dercon, the Haus der Kunst rightly claims its’ place among the great international museums. The range of modern, contemporary and classical art and bold experiments are respected both by visitors as well as lenders. In recent years, it attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
> ENGLISCHER GARTEN
Münchens grünes Herz ist ein 4,2 Quadratkilometer großer klassischer Landschaftsgarten im Nordosten der Stadt. Er ist ca. 1 km breit und erstreckt sich von der historischen Altstadt aus über 10 km am Westufer der Isar entlang, wo er Anschluss an die nördlichen Isarauen bis nach Freising hat. Somit zählt er zu einem der weiträumigsten innerstädtischen Parkanlagen der Welt, größer als der Central Park in New York oder der Hyde Park in London.

The green heart of Munich is a 4.2 square kilometer classical landscape garden in the northeast of the city. It is about 1 km wide and extends from the historic old town about 10 km to the west bank of the river Isar, where it continues along the northern banks of the Isar to the town of Freising. Thus, it is one of the biggest urban parks in the world, larger than Hyde Park in London or even Central Park in New York.
